The Wood Norton is a beautifully crafted hotel with original 19th century French decorative interiors and the very best that the modern world has to offer. Steeped in history, this former home to the exiled Price Philippe, Duke D’Orleans has been a lavish retreat, a BBC broadcasting centre and now a stunning hotel based in the heart of Evesham.
This Is Union were contacted to help support and improve The Wood Norton’s digital presence, with the focus upon improving the hotels brand awareness for being one of the most stunning wedding venues in the region. As a group of true romanticists, and people who love an amazing view, This Is Union were quick to accept the challenge and get to work!

The challenge presented to us was for us to improve the reputation of the hotel as being one of the finest wedding venues in the region. Alongside this challenge, we had to equally promote the other key elements of the business from increasing hotel room bookings to also improving fine dining reservations.
We highlighted social media as being a key tool to the success of the strategy, in particularly Instagram. This channel is perfect for truly showcasing what the stunning venue has to offer, whether it be for weddings, dining, luxury breaks or even business/networking events. Our activity, combined with the hard work from the team at The Wood Norton resulted in them being awarded Best Wedding Venue in the Cotswolds 2019 by the Cotswolds Concierge.
They say ‘do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life,’ and it’s fair to say that working with the wonderful team at The Wood Norton never felt like a day of work. It’s clear to see that the standards they set as a hotel, restaurant and wedding venue are extremely high and it was a pleasure to mirror those standards in our work together.
